Reebok’s CEO Speaks on Partnership with Rick Ross

Since Rocko’s single U.N.E.N.O. hit the airwaves, Rick Ross’ line “I put molly ( a potentially dangerous controlled substance) all in her champagne, and she ain’t even know it. I took her home and enjoyed that, she ain’t even know it.” has received lots of flack from the media. Many think that Ross is suggesting that he date raped a female and she didn’t know, and now he’s suffering the concenquences. The comment was so offensive that womens rights groups protested his verse causing it to be removed from the song and causing him to loose his endorsement deal with Reebok.

The CEO of Reebok, Uli Becker finally makes his statement regarding the uproar. Becker reportedly states that he thinks highly of Ross, just not the company Ross keeps. ‘It’s unfortunate because he’s a great guy, he just has stupid advisors around him’ a popular hashtag on twitter #FNCEOSummit which stands for Footwear News CEO Summit, revealed as a statement by Becker.

Ross feels like Reebok owes him a second chance, he will loose between 2.5 and 5 million dollars because of his separation with Reebok. The Rapper sincerely apologizes about the verse and stating that it doesn’t reflect his true heart. This should be an eye opener and lesson to all entertainers, now Ross may be looked at as a high risk for future brand endorsements.

Grand Theft Auto 5 introduces new characters, personalities, chaos and a little humor.  Meet Michael, Franklin and Trevor; Michael is a retired criminal who lives in a mansion in Los Santos, but he’s bored with his retired lifestyle and he craves the excitement from his past.  There are at least two missions for Michael to complete, one is to raid on a government agency and the other is to rob a security truck.  Franklin, the youngest member of the gang is a repo man for a European luxury car dealership.  He brings a lot of action to the scene with police chases, helicopters, strip bars and Los Santos urban neighborhood shenanigans.  Trevor is a hard core drug dealing maniac, he is ex-military and he can be a pilot if need be.  Trevor comes with stunts, explosions, helicopter invasions and more; he’ll definitely add humor to all of the chaotic happenings.

Rockstar Games has apologized for the delay in releasing the game, but they promise it will be well worth it.  The Alchemist and The Game may be on the soundtrack but that has yet to be determined, speculations have even been made that The Game might be an actual character on GTA.  Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 players get ready, the new and exciting Grand Theft Auto 5.

Vacation Destination: Dominican Republic

Several Hip Hop Celebrities find the Dominican Republic to be beautiful and serene, in fact Jay-Z celebrated his 40th birthday there with his beautiful wife Beyonce and other friends such as Opera, Kanye West, P. Diddy, Alicia Keys, Ne-Yo and more.  The theme of his party was based off of the movie Scarface.   

Drake seems to have a love for the Dominican Republic as well, he shot a portion of his most recent video Started from the Bottom in the Dominican Republic and he’s been just to relax and enjoy the beautiful carribean scenery.  

The hit single by Future Tony Montana was also filmed in the Dominican Republic, the beginning of the video shows the beautiful waters and a very nice establishment overlooking the city.  The majority of the video wasn’t shot in the luxurious area because of the theme, but the DR is definitely a beautiful place to see.

From the clear blue waters of Punta Cana, to the deep serene valleys of Puerto Plata; the Dominican Republic is pure paradise. 

Dominican Republic Guide:

Punta Cana – The most luxurious place in the Dominican Republic, they offer all inclusive resorts, a shopping mall, a water park, night clubs and resturants. 

North Coast – For the more adventurous travler, theres tons of hiking, water sports and snorkeling.  There are a few all inclusive resorts, but there are more vacation rentals and smaller hotels.

South Coast – Historical part of the island, the national park is located on the South Coast where historical Columbian pictographs can be seen.  There’s also tons of surfing, fishing and relaxing on the beaches for down time. 

 

The Interior – This too is more of an adventerous area, the inner area of DR is filled with mountains, hiking trails, waterfalls, rain forests, caves and rivers.  This is more of an urban area.

 

Santo Domingo – The nations capitol, the largest most dynamic city in the Dominican Republic.  There’s a large selection of resturants, museums, operas and other entertainment; however this is less of a resort style attraction and more of a city feel.

 

Iggy Azalea Says Hi to Island Def Jam and Bye to Grand Hustle…

As of March 23rd Iggy Azalea officially signed to Island Def Jam, she tweeted “Hey World, I signed to Def Jam. I am now Mercury UK/ Island Def Jam USA, Awesome!!!”  She continues to state that she is still friends with hustle gang and friendships don’t require contracts. Iggy will still be featured on albums, however her contract is elsewhere. She makes it very clear that Grand Hustle is inspiring and they allowed her to move forward without hasstle, “Island Def Jam is attuned to the type of Artist I am.” Azalea states, she continues by saying “They are a great addition to my UK team along with T.I.and my Grand Hustle family, I couldn’t have asked for a more understanding and aspirational group of people to work with.”

Iggy has gained an International fan-base quickly with her intriguing persona, sense of style and music.  Her album entitled “The New Classic” is scheduled to drop later this year with Island Def Jam.

Jay-Z and his business partner Juan Perez have decided to launch a sports agency division under his Roc Nation Enterprise in partnership with CAA (Creative Artists Agency); Roc Nation Sports is a full service sports management company. Their roster includes New York Yankees Allstar Robinson Cano, New York Giants Victor Cruz and probable future WNBA player Skylar Diggins. After the NHL draft, Jay-Z may be interested in signing hockey player Seth Jones too.

Roc Nation Sports plans to provide brand and business building opportunities, “We look forward to combining our wide-reaching resources such as our clients like Robinson Cano to help them accomplish thier goals on and off the feild.” CAA Sports Co-Head Michael Levine states.

Up and Coming Hip Hop Artist and Reality TV Star Bambi hits the stage at Traci Steele Pretty Girls Rock event and intrigues the crowd. 

Her performance was opened by two amazing R&B Artists, Vina Mills and Jade Nova.  Bambi performed three of her most popular songs: Bad, Look at yo Body and Shimmer.  The lipstick gang waved their pink bandannas throughout the performance and the crowds response was amazing. 

“I enjoyed the Pretty Girls Rock event so much, I started the lipstick gang movement to empower women so Pretty Girls Rock is right up my alley” Bambi says.

Kelly Rowland to Release her Album “Talk A Good Game”

Her fourth album “Talk A Good Game” will drop this Summer

Former member of Destiny’s Child Kelly Rowland expects to release her fourth album entitled “Talk A Good Game” on June 4th.  Kelly was recognized for her beauty in People’s Magazine as “World’s Most Beautiful” of 2013.  Throughout her musical career she has made several hits such as her latest single Kisses Down Low; and Ice featuring Lil Wayne which are singles from “Talk A Good Game”.  She’s looking forward to a rather successful outcome, her last album “Here I Am” debuted at number 3 on the Billboard 200 chart.  

Rowland announces that she will have her former group members Beyonce Knowles and Michelle Williams featured on her album but it won’t be a Destiny’s Child song, it will be a Kelly Rowland song with featured Artists.  Popular Artists such as The Dream, Pharrell, Wiz Khalifa and more will be featured on “Talk A Good Game” in addition to the Desitny’s Child group members.  The Album will be composed of 12 songs, andshe has been working with songwriters and producers such as the legendary Rico Love, Lonny Breal Diane Warren and others who will make sure her album is just as successful as her previous albums if not better.

Rapper Lil Phat Allegedly Offed by Russian Mafia Members

The Summer of 2012, Lil Boosie and Webbie’s Trill Ent. Indie Label Mate Melvin “Lil Phat” Vernell III was gunned down in an Atlanta hospital parking deck while waiting on his child to be born; Officials seem to have a lead to his murder. 

According to sources, Russian Mobster Chulpayev has been linked to the killing of Lil Phat.  Chulpayev is a luxury car dealer in Atlanta, and he is rumored to sell hot cars.  He’d previously sold two luxury cars to Lil Phat, and authorities seem to think that once Lil Phat was approached by Officials regarding the stolen vehicles he lead them to Chulpayev.

Because the murder appears to have been carefully planned, Fulton County’s District Attorney Paul Howard thinks that Lil Phat was stalked by the hitmen.  Chulpayev’s Attorney states that the procecutors have no evidence against his client, he’s fighting his innocence until Chulpayev is proven guilty.  Chulpayev is being held in custody until the investigation is over.

We all know that Kanye West can be over the top when it comes to his dramatic reaction to the media, Saturday Night Live’s writers are making sure to be cautious about how they handle the Kim Kardashian spoof.  Because Kanye seems to have a hard time taking a joke, and Saturday Night Live is full of jokes and fun; finding middle ground may be a bit of a challenge but they’ll push the jokes to the limit for ultimate entertainment.

Kanye is scheduled to be a guest musical performer so they are winding down with a solution that will make everyone happy, they may even give Kim her own Cameo at the end of the episode according to an insider.  The show will air May 18th, stay tuned for the iconic performance and the hilarious aftermath.
